Phun is a Master of Science Theises by Computing Science student Emil Ernerfeldt for supervisor Kenneth Bodin at VRLab, Umeå University. The solver is based on work by Claude Lacoursière. Which came on e-learning and education world this week.

Saul Hansell of New York Times Technology Blog reports that Sergey Brin, Google’s co-president, enjoyed using his iPhone (and especially the Google Maps function) while traveling in Switzerland for Davos’ World Economic Forum. “I was able to find a really small hotel, then switch over to the satellite view on my phone to figure out I needed to take a funicular to get up there. It was a really amazing experience,” says Brin.
“The iPhone is the first of a whole generation of products that will be much more search intensive,” says Eric Schmidt, Google’s chief executive, “With those search opportunities comes ad monetization.”
It is well known that currently Google is working on it’s own Android mobile operating system, and doesn’t seem to be hindered at all by the iPhone’s success, in fact it seems they’re getting inspiration for what the mobile experience will, hopefully, be more like in the future.
Staying with the Sakai-theme for a bit ( as they presented in tehir facebook com applications presentation), in the Sakai wiki I came across Project Pad from Northwestern University. It is a suite of audio and video annotation tools, including tools to annotate quicktime a/v files, flash movies and mp3 audio streams, still images, and do audio transcription. yes it’s possible for facebook to be a major source of distractions.
But why do we stuck with LMS ( learning management system ) ’s?.
Which one a student would choose from registering a borin LMS or using their own facebbok account?
I think they have already choosen facebook for entertaintment and friendship purposes.
A simple and effective facebook application can be integrated with your LMS, and the anouncements, event will be more visible to everyone.
Facebook introduced facebook pages last week and it seems Adobe has recently integrated its company profile and produclt line on facebook.
